Meyer Burger White 385
As a manufacturer of high-performance photovoltaic cells and modules, Meyer uses its own specially developed and cutting-edge Heterojunction/SmartWire technology. With around 70 years of company history and 40 years of experience in PV, Meyer Burger forms the technological backbone of the industry and has set significicant standards - such as precision measurement technology for photovoltaic modules - over the past decades. In particular when it comes to energy yield and efficiency, Meyer Burger sets new standards and combines these with top-class design.
- Module technology For its solar modules, Meyer Burger uses a cell technology that is superior to the standard PERC cell technology in the areas of low-light behaviour, efficiency and degradation mechanisms. Meyer Burger's cell design is called HJT and stands for "Heterojunction Technology". Together with their SmartWire Technology (SWCT), a technology to contact the cells with very thin and lead-free wires, the solar modules are not only technologically on a high level but also offer high power classes and module efficiencies.
- Quality Meyer Burger modules are high-quality and perfectly crafted. The SmartWire technology (SWCT) used in the modules improves cell stability and thus makes solar modules less susceptible to so-called micro-cracks, one of the most common reasons for energy loss in solar modules. The ultra-stable and special backsheet additionally protects the cells against moisture penetration and other environmental influences.
- Sustainability Meyer Burger manufactures its modules according to strict environmental standards. For example, the toxic heavy metal lead is completely avoided in the production of the modules. Furthermore, significantly fewer solvents are used and the production facilities are supplied with energy from renewable sources. The sustainable concept also includes the fact that Meyer Burger solar modules are as fully recyclable as possible.
- Warranty Meyer Burger offers an industry-leading warranty package for its solar modules in accordance with German law. Thus the glass-foil modules from Meyer Burger receive a 25 year and all glass-glass modules have even a 30 year product and performance warranty. Meyer Burger guarantees that the glass-foil modules will still have a minimum performance of 92% after 25 years of operation. For the glass-glass modules, a minimum performance of 93% is also guaranteed after 30 years of operation.
